Maximum trim to keep within the FD30 Fire Rating
Paint Grade doors can be trimmed up to 3mm on each
vertical edge and 5mm from the bottom of the door.
The top of the door must not be trimmed, as this edge
carries the Certifire label and if removed would
invalidate the fire rating.
Internal Plywood (Paint Grade) FD30 Fire Doors
Standard FD30 doors are made up of flaxboard solid
core construction and are lipped on two long edges
(6mm concealed lippings). The doors are 44mm (1¾”)

External Plywood (Paint Grade) FD30 Fire Doors
Standard FD30 Fire Doors are made up of solid timber
core construction and are lipped on all four edges.
They are 44mm (1 ¾”) in thickness.
External Plywood (Paint Grade) FD60 Fire Doors
Standard FD60 Fire Doors are made up of solid timber
core construction lipped on all four edges. They are
54mm (2 1/8”) in thickness.

Non–Standard Fire Door
We carry in stock large size door blanks (solid timber
core construction). These are un-lipped and therefore
suitable for applications where doors are of a nonstandard
size. We can cut the doors down in our
factory to the required size and they would then be
lipped on all four edges for the FD30 & FD60 fire
rating.
The FD30 door blanks when cut are re-lipped using
9mm thick hardwood lippings in Sapele/Mahogany.
13mm hardwood lippings are used for FD60 door
blanks.
